Media Intern

We are looking for a Media Intern to join the team for approx seven hours a week. Someone passionate about making parent life easier, PR and social media who is experienced in leveraging the power of social networks to raise awareness and increase blog traffic. Self-starter with great writing, organisational and follow up skills required. Plus an aptitude for analytics. All ages welcome to apply.

Data Storyteller/Analyst

About the role

Our Data Storyteller is part number-cruncher, part internal marketer and part ace correspondent from the testing trenches. He or she is someone who can take the raw data of testing — the stacks of numbers, the fractional wins and losses, the stream of daily choices — and turn it into a narrative that will excite the team. In our view storytelling doesn’t just mean boasting about successes. It can also mean sharing failures and other less-than-optimal outcomes. The point is not just to highlight wins: it’s to reinforce a culture of growth, to generate interest in experimentation and explain why testing is so good for the company — and crucial for effective campaigns.

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth analysis on Classlist data, analyzing platform usage and engagement Track the results of key testing including technical and marketing initiatives Partner with cross-functional teams to support their data needs (community, marketing, advertising, operations, support) Build and maintain an archive of key data insights, develop benchmarking capabilities, and help us establish innovative new ways of telling stories with data Identify new data patterns and work with internal teams to surface key insights through data visualizations Care deeply about data quality

Skills and previous experience

Advanced degree in a quantitative or scientific field, or equivalent (2+ years) experience Expert knowledge of SQL Expert knowledge of Excel Knowledge of GAE or other cloud based equivalents Knowledge of Google Analytics Knowledge of Tableau is advantageous Experience effectively presenting insights and summarizing complex data to diverse audiences through visualizations and other means of communication Innate curiosity around finding meaningful insights that inform the way we think about and develop both our product and our business strategies

Customer Success Managers

Initial duration: Min 10 hrs/wk Compensation: Commission compensation, negotiable

Desired Profile

We set up Classlist because we believe real life connections are important and we felt it was difficult to achieve this by old fashioned word documents and excel spreadsheets.

We are looking for talented, outgoing and organised individuals who enjoys speaking to Class Reps, Parent Teacher Associations, Friends Committees and School Staff about how Classlist can support their efforts to grow strong school communities. We will put candidates through a training programme with a key focus on community management including fostering community engagement. For the right candidate there could be opportunities to head up a regional team and more.

The Project

Our Classlist beta has been built with sophisticated event and community management tools. You will learn how to use these as well as develop associated skills in the management of online communities, community analytics and SEO. At the end of this project, if there is mutual interest, we will offer you the regional management role to join the core Classlist team as a key early employee.

Advertising Sales Executive

Start Date: Immediate

Initial duration: 3 months, min 20 hrs/wk Compensation: Internship, partial project based cash, commission compensation negotiable

Desired Profile

We set up Classlist because we believe real life connections are important and we felt it was difficult to achieve this by old fashioned word documents and excel spreadsheets. With our rapidly expanding membership we want to provide local business deals for our members plus make them aware of local products and services that are of potential interest to them, albeit in a limited fashion.

We are looking for a talented, outgoing and organised individual who enjoys speaking to local businesses big and small, selling banner and advertising space for business sponsorship. Knowledge of photoshop would be a plus. For the right candidate there could be opportunities to head up sales team and more.
